At Equinox Bus Lines, your health is important to us...
As the Province of Ontario initiates opening phases from COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we want to provide insight on our protocols in preventing the disease. As of March 11, 2020 the World Health Organization (WHO) has declared COVID-19 a pandemic.
The virus has been named “SARS-CoV-2” and the disease it causes has been named “coronavirus disease 2019” (abbreviated “COVID-19”). Symptoms include fever, cough, and shortness of breath. This virus was first detected in late 2019 in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China, and this coronavirus has now been identified in many locations internationally, including in Canada and the United States of America.
How is Equinox Bus Lines preventing the spread of COVID-19?
The Ontario Motorcoach Association has provided Protection Protocols on a Bus. While we clean our vehicles on a daily basis, extra steps will be taken to clean windows, sidewalls, seat belt latches, handles and other common surfaces that are touched frequently. Social Distancing policies will be enforced such as transporting 50% or less occupancy on the following services:
- Sightseeing Tours
- Jayride Shared Service
- Certain Charters/Airport Transfers (Contact us for details)
Passengers who book our Sightseeing Tours or book a Jayride Shared Service, maybe required to wear a face mask or face covering. Passengers who do not have a face mask or face covering may purchase a disposable or reusable mask from our limited on-board supply. Sightseeing Tours that include a Boat Tour, Passengers will have their body temperature taken prior to boarding. Passengers who do not feel well should stay home as per Government Regulations. We ask all Passengers prior to boarding our vehicles, please wash your hands for at least 20 seconds, otherwise Hand Sanitizer with a minimum alcohol content of 60% will be made available. We also ask Passengers who have to cough or sneeze, to do so by doing it into your arm or using a tissue to reduce spread of droplets being expelled. In an event we go into Crisis mode, the American Bus Association will handle all communications with the media.
